This refers to external influences. These include, the number and quality of other sites linking to yours and the amount of traffic the site gets.

Each website that links to your site is a vote for your site. The more links the better and the more relevant they are the more effective they are especially if the come from quality sites. Most of the ongoing work is aimed at increasing links (thus more traffic and exposure for the site!)
We use effective directories to help this. We will also target the links identified in the competitive analysis of the top-ranking site from section one. We will also look for niche, industry specific directories. In competitive sectors it may be worthwhile considering paid-for links.
